Summer Trends!!

Hey Girlfirends!

Are you ready for the summer heat?  I find that we are a little more adventuresome with hair cuts and color in the summer months.  And, why not?  These are the crazy, lazy days of summer!  A time to get away, relax and try new things.

So, I have a few ideas that are trendy for you to consider if you're ready to tweak your style.

Stars like Katy Perry and Cara Delevingne have ditched their signature hair colors for silvery platinum blonde. Both later chopped off their hair—since short hair so much easier to lighten.

Break out your flat iron—OR ask me about the rejuvinating, anti-aging benefits of my GK keratin treatments!  Smooth, shiny, and center-parted hair is one of the biggest trends for 2017. But this style only works if your hair looks healthy—not fried. Be sure to mist a heat protectant through your hair before touching it with a straightener.  OR cut your styling time in half and bring back the hair of your youth with a GK Keratin treatment!

The shag was the surprising hit haircut in 2016. But those layers and bangs have to grow out sometime. In 2017, we'll see the beautiful result of that. With hair that hits just past the shoulders and bangs that are long enough to be split down the middle, the grown-out shag is the haircut to keep an eye on this year. If anything, it's a way to hint at a shag without giving it your full commitment.

Neither beachy nor bouncy, flat iron waves are the new curling iron waves. Waves created with a straightener are more subtle and a little less formal and glam. Just create a bend in your hair by pushing it upward while turning your wrist, then seal the shape with a few clamps of your iron. Release and repeat. Keep your ends straight for the most polished finish.  Is your hair colored? Use your heat protectant and keep the temperature of your iron below 380 degrees.

Who is ready to return to the simplicity of a blundt bob?  Always in style, there's only one way to cut a bob this year: blunt and sharp. The more angular, the better—you can see this look on Bella Hadid, Selena Gomez, and Rihanna.  Your perfect length is determined by examining your face shape and bone structure.

GET READY!!  Ultra-long extensions aren't going anywhere. YES!!  There is something magical and powerful about hair!!  We've seen them on Rihanna, Jourdan Dunn, and the Kardashians in recent months, and the trend is poised to make an even bigger splash come January.

I Offer:  Keratin Bond, I-Tip and Tape in  extensions using the finest, 100% Remy, double drawn human hair.  I am certified with five different extension companies to be able to provide the best match for your hair and your total look!

Getting ready for a night out? Skip the updo, top knot, or French twist next time you're planning your hairstyle for a big night out. Celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski, Nicole Kidman, and Sara Sampaio all recently wore low, loose braids on the Cannes red carpets.  Soft, organic looks are so hot right now!  Capture the Boho spirit.

Loking for a easy twist on your style? Try flipping your part.  That was easy!  Yes, the easiest hairstyle trend to copy this year?  All it requires is you to flip your hair from one side to the other, creating tons of volume as a result.

Shay Mitchell did it. So did Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian. And it was all over spring 2017 fashion week. Slick, shiny hair that only looks like its sopping wet is a 2017 hair trend that can look just as good off the runway and IRL. Just work a heavy dose of styling cream from your roots to mid-lengths to get that unmistakable shine with a little bit of hold.

Which trend sparked an interest with you?  What are you ready to try?  Remember, everything is customizable to you, your lifestyle and the look you are craving!
